Sometimes formal learning is important - with progress tracking, due dates, course assignment, completion certificates, etc.  

But sometimes it can be useful to publish an elearning course in an informal setting, such as on a website or in social media.  While this might lose the tracking and reporting benefits of formal learning, it makes it very easy for any casual user to find and access your training course.  

In BrainStation this can be done by using the Public URL in the CourseBuilder: 

Linking this URL to any image or text hyperlink will open the course in its own browser window.  In this mode, all course modules work as expected, so you can include video, documents, HTML text, and questions.  However since the public URL does not track any user information, it will not show up in any reporting or tracking information.
