ConnectWise PSA Integration - User Import
How to efficiently import User data from Connectwise PSA to BrainStation.

You can easily import end-users from ConnectWise PSA into BrainStation with our ConnectWise Integration.
To connect to your Reseller Portal, you'll need the following information from ConnectWise.
- Company ID:
- This is the subdomain part of your ConnectWise URL. For example, if you access ConnectWise at https://biggerbrains.connectwise.com, your Company ID would be biggerbrains.
- Site URL:
- This is the full URL you use to access ConnectWise. For example, https://biggerbrains.connectwise.com.
- Public Key
- Private Key
Please Note:
This is an import, not a sync, so when Users are added or deleted in ConnectWise, it will not automatically be reflected in BrainStation.
Generating the Public & Private Keys:
The Public and Private Keys are generated inside the client's ConnectWise Manage portal by following the instructions below.
- Log into the ConnectWise Manage portal with appropriate permissions.
- Select System from the left-side menu.
- Click Members from the drop-down list.

- Click API Members from the tab options.

- Select the member (user) for API access or creating a dedicated API user.

- Click API Keys from the tab options.

- Copy the Private Key immediately as it will not be shown again.

- Copy the Public and Private Keys to a safe document as these the values you will enter in the Reseller Portal.
Importing User into the Team Management Portal:
- Enter the Reseller Portal.
- Select Teams from the left-side menu.
- Locate the Team to which you would like to add Users.
- Click the Action icon next to the preferred Team.
- Select PSA Import from the pop-out menu.

- All PSA options are shown, including ConnectWise.
- In the ConnectWise fields, enter the following information.
- Company ID
- Site URL
- Client ID
- Public Key
- Private Key
- Select Load Groups.
Please Note:
If you are asked to enter a Client ID, the Bigger Brains Client ID is wfwerwe.

- If the credentials are entered correctly this will display a list of users in your ConnectWise account.
- Use the Select Group field to find the User list you want to import to this Team.
- The Team name is listed in the breadcrumbs for confirmation purposes.

Please Note:
If a User email is associated with an account already in BrainStation, a red X will appear in their row. Additionally, if a User does not have an emails associated with their name, a red X will appear in their row.
- All Users in the selected group will be displayed.
- Select the Users you would like to add to the Team.
- Click Import to bring those Users into BrainStation.

- Enter the Team Management Portal of the team to which you have added Users.
- Select Members from the left-side menu.
- Then, click List from the drop-down options.
- You will see the newly imported Users here.

Please Note:
Your ConnectWise PSA credentials are stored with your Reseller account, so you will not need to enter them every time. Additionally, anytime you add or edit a Team, click the PSA Import option to access your ConnectWise information. These credentials are only available through the Reseller Portal. If your clients add their own Users, they cannot access your stored ConnectWise PSA credentials.
