Assign Courses to a User: Assign Learners to a Course: Assign Learners to Learning Path: Assigning to a Subteam: Edit Assignment by Learner: Edit Assignment by Course: Edit Assignment by Learning Paths:

Users with Team Assistant or Team Leader access can assign courses and/or Learning Paths to other Users on their Team. Assignments can be edited at any time. This article covers making and editing assignments.

 

  • Access the Team Dashboard.
  • Select Course Assignment from the dashboard menu.

 

 


Assign Courses to a User:

 

  • Click Assign Courses to Learner.

 

 

  • A list of all the Users on this Team will appear.
  • Choose Select for the User you would like to assign a course(s) to.

 

 

  • A list of all the available courses will open.
  • From here, select the courses you would like to assign to the User.

 

Please Note:

Custom courses built within the CourseBuilder will appear in this list.

 

 

 

  • Once the course(s) are selected, you can choose to set a due date.
  • Click into the Due Date field, and select the preferred date.

 

 

  • When ready, select + Assign Course(s) to set the assignment.

 

 

  • Now, when the User enters BrainStation, they will see the assigned course(s).

 

 


 

Assign Learners to a Course:

 

When many Users need to take the same course, it can be cumbersome to individually assign it to each User. In this situation, it would be better to assign the Users to the course. This is explained below.

 

  • Click Assign Learners to Course.

 

 

  • A list of all available courses will appear.
  • Choose Select for the course you would like to assign to Users.

 

Please Note:

Custom courses built within the CourseBuilder will appear in this list.

 

 

 

  • A list of all the Users on this Team will appear.
  • From here, select the Users that should be assigned to this course.

 

 

  • Once the User(s) are selected, you can choose to set a due date.
  • Click into the Due Date field, and select the preferred date.

 

 

  • When ready, select + Assign User(s) to set the assignment.

 

 

  • Now, when the User enters BrainStation, they will see the assigned course(s).

 

 


 

Assign Learners to Learning Path:

 

  • Click Assign Learners to Learning Path.

 

 

  • A list of all created Learning Paths will appear.
  • Choose Select for the Learning Path you would like to assign.

 

 

  • A list of all the Users on this Team will appear.
  • From here, select the User(s) that should be assigned to this Learning Path.

 

 

  • Once the User(s) are selected, you can choose to set a due date.
  • Click into the Due Date field, and select the preferred date.

 

 

  • When ready, select + Assign User(s) to set the assignment.

 

 

  • Now, when the User enters BrainStation, they will see the assigned Learning Path(s).

 

 


 

Assigning to a Subteam:

 

You can assign courses and Learning Paths to a Subteam within BrainStation. To do so, follow the steps outlined in this article.

 

 


 

Edit Assignment by Learner:

 

  • Click Edit Assignment By Learner.

 

 

  • Choose Select for the User whose assignment needs to be edited.

 

 

  • From here, you will see all the courses assigned to the selected User.

 

 

  • Assignments can be removed by selecting Delete.
  • Multiple assignments can be deleted by checking the box for the row and selecting Delete Assignment.

 

 

  • To change a due date, select the box for the necessary course(s).
  • In the Due Date field, enter a new date.
  • Select Change Due Date.

 

 


 

Edit Assignment by Course:

 

  • Click Edit Assignment By Course.

 

 

  • A list of all available courses will appear.
  • Choose Select for the course that has been assigned.

 

 

  • A list of all the Users who have been assigned this course will appear.
  • From here, select the Users whose assignments need to be edited.

 

 

  • Assignments can be removed by selecting Delete.
  • Multiple assignments can be deleted by checking the box for the row and selecting Delete Assignment.

 

 

  • To change a due date, select the box for the necessary User(s).
  • In the Due Date field, enter a new date.
  • Select Change Due Date.

  • Click Edit Assignment By Learning Paths.

 

 

  • A list of all created Learning Paths will appear.
  • Choose Select for the Learning Path that has been assigned.

 

 

  • A list of all the Users who have been assigned this Learning Path will appear.
  • From here, select the User(s) whose assignments need to be edited.

 

 

  • Assignments can be removed by selecting Delete.
  • Multiple assignments can be deleted by checking the box for the row and selecting Delete Assignment.

 

 

  • To change a due date, select the box for the necessary User(s).
  • In the Due Date field, enter a new date.
  • Select Change Due Date.
